What is a digital-original painting?

Each digital-painting is created with a diverse process of combining random selections of photos, paintings and drawings and merging them into one digital layer. Each unique collage is then digitally-painted with Procreate, using an Apple pencil on an 12.9″ iPad Pro. Loretta uses custom digital brushes that give the finished art the illusion of delicate brush strokes, the result is similar to a lean-on-lean painting technique. The digital painting process allows her the ultimate creative work-flow, nothing is precious, and all can be un-done. She is free to respond to new discoveries and change directions at any moment. As a digital-painter the functions of layer, cut, paste, warp, become an unending process of possibility.

What is a limited edition?

Digital-original artworks are printed on canvas and paper, each form is limited to 99 by the artist. Certificate of Authenticity is available upon request. Regardless of size ordered whether on canvas or fine art paper there are never more than 198 total in existence world wide. Each art work is printed on archival quality substrate (paper or canvas) Printed with an Epson printer and UltraChrome series Giclée archival for over 100 years with proper care.

What materials are used for the canvas art?

What are the sizes of canvas art available?

Canvases 12″ x 16″ – 18″x 24″ and contact artist for custom orders of 24″ x 32″ are all printed and then hand-stretched on solid wood stretcher bars. They’re finished with a gallery fold for a premium quality look. Artwork extends around the stretcher so there is no need for framing giving it a contemporary look. A matt finish adds to the illusion of painted surface.

How is canvas artwork prepared for shipping?

Canvases are placed inside a protective foam pouch, then wrapped in bubble wrap and foam prior to boxing. This minimizes movement and absorbs shock during transit. (see images below)

Can you ship to Australia?

No we can not ship wood products to Australia – the canvas wood stretchers are restricted – contact artist for rolled canvas option).

Where is canvas art and other products shipped from?

  • Currently canvas 12″x 16″ and 18″x 24″ are shipped from the USA,
  • 24″ x 32″ Canvas are custom orders shipped from Canada.
  • Greeting cards, notebooks and silk scarves ship from Canada.
