What is a digital-original painting?

Each digital-original painting is created with a diverse process of combining random selections of photos, paintings and drawings and merging them into one digital layer. Each unique collage is then digitally-painted with Procreate, using an Apple pencil on an 12.9″ iPad Pro. Loretta uses custom digital brushes that give the finished art the illusion of delicate brush strokes, the result is similar to a lean-on-lean painting technique. The digital painting process allows her the ultimate creative work-flow, nothing is precious, and all can be un-done. She is free to respond to new discoveries and change directions at any moment.
